Emotional song. My depression wants me dead. My ex told me about the song because too many times I feel the need to be gone even though I'm afraid of death and I know I'll regret it. The struggle is real and I just want you to know your not alone. People need a place where they can talk,vent and just be heard without the fear of judgement even if that person is a stranger.

I get that it's not as simple as telling someone to be happy but the only real way to be happy is if you truly want it bad enough and aim for happiness from within yourself. Only you can fix yourself at the end of the day. Only you can climb out of the dark lonely hole you dug yourself into, no one else can save you or tell you to be happy, only you can. Even if someone tells you to be happy and it doesn't necessarily fix all your problems right away (because it might indefinitely not) or ever really than it's at least still a nice kind thing to do still. It's still nice to tell someone they can be happy or they can find the light and they can learn to have hope and believe things will get better and positive stuff like that. Even if sad depressed people are colorblind then us more non depressed people have got to show them all of the beautiful colors there are in this world if they can't truly see them themselves. People can still stand by people's sides if they are sad. It may not fix anything at all but at least having someone at your side makes the pain that much more bearable right because then you know you're not alone. And yk the world is a very colorful bright hopeful place filled with laughter and kindness and love but only if you choose to see the good in life then will you will see it. The only reason you can't be happy is because of you. You/us humans are the only ones getting in the way of our own happiness. We are our own greatest enemies. Have hope that things get better later and find the rainbow and the light to brighten up your world. I've never been clinically depressed (like for my whole life or nothing) persay but I did have a moment in my life (2020) where i was so sad and wouldn't get out of bed often because I lost my last year of high school and 5 months of my junior year (and can never get that experience or time of my life back) and felt alone with no place to go and no more school going online didn't have the same feel as in person so it drained me and then in 2022 I got spine problems and had to go to therapy but RN I'm currently working on my health both physical and mental and physical therapy by walking and exercising and even though im not completely healed yet with my physical pain and some mental know that it does get better if you look on the bright side of things. Learn to be more positive even if it's hard for you to do just give it a try. Find the good things in life that yk will make you happy perhaps. Like maybe a food you like to eat or wear a outfit you want to make you feel confident in or play a videogame that'll make you happy, stuff like that kind of. You'll only ever be sad if you only look for the negative and if you turn off the lights and be a big grumpus butt. You'll never really get rid of the pain/sadness (because that's just a part of life for everyone really not just depressed people) but if you keep your chin up and look at the positive things then you can get yourself by and feel alright. If anyone needed to hear my words then I hope I could help lift your spirits. Never give up hope and have faith, trust, and a lil bit of pixie dust. 🤗 Sadness doesn't last forever just as the rain doesn't pour forever either. All bad things eventually come to an end and the rainbow will appear after all that rain and darkness that consumes your life. If you don't want to get rained on with the downpour of depression then perhaps bring an umbrella to stay out of the gloominess and shield yourself from sadness. I'm crying right now. I've been suicidal, I've attempted it a few times and I was 12yrs old the first time, 22 the second time, I'm 35 now and I tried again 6months ago. I think about it every day but yet I don't show it, I'm always laughing, joking and smiling around people. They tell me I look good and happy when in reality I'm dying inside. I've had a lot of childhood trauma, I was born drug addicted to heroin, I was adopted at 5yrs old, I've had sexual abuse, I have Tourettes syndrome and it's something that bothers me more and more as I get older. I've overdosed almost 10 times accidentally aside from the suicide attempts but I keep coming back. I don't want to die, I just want the pain to go away. 😔🥺😥

I can’t even listen to this song because it hits too close to home. 15 years of use (I’m assuming same DOC as yours or similar) and my soul mate (together 10 years) just passed from one relapse. Life isn’t feeling hopeful and I fear depression and anxiety may physically destroy me.. heart break as they say on old peoples autopsy.. or the medication that I’m on (reeking havoc on my body), but I’m glad you’re able to look towards a brighter future and know that you are loved, because when you lose your best friend, it is hard to turn away from the things that numbed you out and made it easier to get thru the day.
